The city of Clarence on the Eastern Shore of the Derwent River, boasts significant major visitor attractions and facilities.  Shop at the Eastlands Shopping complex, watch the cricket [when it's on] at Bellerive Oval, Tasmania's international cricket venue.   Hop off a Harbor cruise to Bellerive Village at Kangaroo Bay and tour some of the fine old buildings, including the guns (cannons) at historic Kangaroo Bluff Fort.   Check out the Sound Preservation  Museum or the Genealogical Society of Tasmania [research your family tree], both housed in the old Bellerive Post Office.
